San Gabriel is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Gabriel follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Fancy donuts are a little pricey. This powdered one requires a drink from all the dryness it causes. The matcha latte is delicious and worth every penny!!! Nice cute decor. There's a single bathroom. A few indoor seats available.

Unfortunately the cake donuts were very dry, overly sweet and greasy. My friend and I each got one(blueberry cake and earlier grey), took one bite and they were not good. I went inside to see if I could swap them for something fresher (tasted old to me), the guy behind the counter said he couldn't because we took a bite. Been to a lot of donut places in LA, this used to be one of the best, but no longer recommend. The cake at Randy's, Primos, VooDoo, Kettle Glazed are way better.

I tried Old Ferry Donut in San Gabriel and was really impressed. This is a Korean-style donut shop with a clean, modern vibe and very friendly service. I ordered online, and when I got there, everything was packed and ready to go. Super smooth experience. I got five flavors: butter pistachio, peanut butter, hazelnut chocolate, coffee cream, and lemon poppy seed. My favorites were the peanut butter and butter pistachio. Both had great texture and flavor. The others were good too, but those two stood out. Parking can be a little challenging in front, but they do have additional parking in the back, which helps a lot. If you’re into donuts that are a little more unique and elevated, this place is definitely worth a visit.

I had heard some buzz about Old Ferry Donut, but honestly, I didn't pay much attention—after all, there are countless donut shops out there, most of them similar and overpriced. But then we walked by the shop, and wow, what a charming place! The decor, the vibe, the colors—we just had to check it out. I figured, hey, why not treat myself to one donut, right? Well, I'm so glad I did because their donuts hit all the right spots. Not overly sweet, with fantastic flavors and a wonderfully fluffy texture, these donuts aren’t too heavy but are just enough to satisfy any sweet tooth. Sure, they’re on the pricier side, but they’re absolutely worth it. We tried the butter pistachio, which was recommended by the store manager, and it's a must-order, period. We also had the tiramisu donut, which featured a delightful mix of chocolate coating and perfect texture. I can’t wait to go back for another one (or two). Pro tip: their online prices are the same as in-store, so you can easily order ahead and pick up. Happy donut hunting!

The butter pistachio and the coconut were our favorites. I think what sets these donuts apart isn’t the dough, it’s the creams inside the donuts that are so good and unique. I actually really like them and I typically avoid donuts with the inner creams because they’re typically too sweet. Not these, they have it dialed in just right. We’ll be back to try a few new ones we didn’t have the capacity to try this time around. The guy working there was very friendly and helpful. Great customer service.
